Welcome to volunteer 8

More than ever, San Diegans are coming together to help one another. Now, News 8 have teamed up to create Volunteer 8. We're asking you to take action in your community. It doesn't take a lot of time... you can even make a difference on your lunch hour!

WHAT'S NEW

Thank you for joining

Volunteer 8, Wells Fargo and the San Diego Clean Beach Coalition’s
“Fun in the Sun Clean Up”

Through your efforts we collected more than 850 pounds of debris and did our part to preserve the beauty of San Diego’s world famous coastline.

Don’t forget to spread the word all year round:
“Enjoy your bash, but can the trash!”

The San Diego Clean Beach Coalition is a collaboration of local non-profit organizations and city agencies focused on coastal stewardship, raising awareness of beach litter issues and preventing marine debris. For more information, please visit http://cleanbeachcoalition.org/.

ThANK YOU!

Nearly 1000 Volunteers!

Thank You San Diego for joining Volunteer 8, Wells Fargo, the City of Chula Vista, and I Love a Clean San Diego for Beautify Chula Vista Day on Saturday, October 6th. Through your efforts, we cleared tons of trash and debris, removed graffiti, and planted dozens of trees to help beautify and protect our community of Chula Vista.

It’s the power of you…the power of Volunteer 8.
