An ABC News producer was arrested near the Democratic National Convention in Denver on Wednesday, according to ABC. Asa Eslocker and a camera crew were reportedly attempting to take pictures of Democratic senators and VIP donors who were leaving a private meeting on the public sidewalk in front of the Brown Palace Hotel.
Video taken at the scene shows Eslocker being ordered to the side of the Brown Palace Hotel sidewalk entrance by a man in a Boulder County Sheriff's uniform, then being forced to the other side of the street.
"You're pushing me into the street!" exclaims Eslocker. "I was on public property on the sidewalk!"
Former President Bill Clinton took the stage at the Democratic National Convention in Denver Wednesday night to heap praise on his wife Hillary's former political foe and to help unite the Democratic party -- before introducing Barack Obama's pick for his vice presidential running mate, Joe Biden.
The 42nd president approached the podium to the strains of his own DNC theme song, Fleetwood Mac's "Don't Stop," and had to wait for the crowd to settle down.
"I am here first for Barack Obama, and second I'm here to warm up the crowd for Joe Biden," he said, before acknowledging Hillary's remarkable campaign for the Democratic nomination -- joking that it generated enough heat to increase global warming -- and confessing his disappointment that, "In the end, my candidate didn't win."
ET has confirmed that the "America's Got Talent" contestant known as George the Giant was injured over the weekend while rehearsing for the show.
According to a spokesperson for the series it is still possible that he will perform tonight. It remains to be seen, but it hasn't been ruled out.
George was bound by chains and hanging from the rafters at the time of the incident. Medics rushed to his side and he was placed on a gurney and given oxygen.
ET confirms that Olympic swimming champion Michael Phelps will host the season opener of "Saturday Night Live" on September 13, with musical guest Lil' Wayne.
Jennifer Hudson broke the news to ET that she feels honored to sing the national anthem on the night Barack Obama accepts the nomination for president at the Democratic National Convention.
“This is definitely one of the biggest honors for me,” the Oscar winner tells ET. “It’s something that I’ve really wanted to do.”
Hudson, who calls Barack a “great role model,” adds that she has never yet sang for such a large crowd.
