Best Weather In The Country
I had a conversation the other day with my folks back in Minnesota, and you know the weather is always a topic - so when asked what our weather was like, I made the mistake of saying "oh, it's a little cool out here, only in the low 60s." Of course, it was barely above zero there - so I felt a little, well, awkward about the whole thing.
But the point is San Diego is having some of the best weather in the country right now, and you're going to have a fantastic December weekend on the way. Offshore flow is setting up - not the really strong stuff that brings gusty Santa Ana winds, but the milder stuff. This brings lower humidities, and a lot less of the low cloud cover in the mornings.
Temperatures should be a little warmer as we get towards the weekend, with highs in the 70s both inland and at the coastline. Looking ahead to next week, you could see some REALLY warm weather heading towards next Wednesday. But for now, expect to have a great weekend on the way.
Matt Baylow is the Chief Meteorologist for KFMB-TV, and you can catch his weather forecasts each weeknight at 5pm, 630pm, and 11pm on San Diego's only weathercasts broadcast in High Definition. There's never been a "clearer" weather forecast, if you can get past the hair that's out of place. And sometimes the pattern on the tie. Did we mention the tie?
